The Elections, Representation & Governance (ERG) committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending policies regarding the conduct of elections, determining correct apportionments for all constituencies, and investigating and adjudicating all charges arising from the management and results of Senate elections. The committee also establishes appropriate procedures for the tallying and reporting of election results. In addition, the ERG committee is responsible for reviewing the plans of organization of the colleges, schools, and other units as well as reviewing and observing the operation and effectiveness of the University Senate and make any appropriate recommendations for improvements.
The committee consists of an appointed presiding officer; seven (7) faculty members; two (2) staff members; two (2) undergraduate and two (2) graduate students; and the Director of Human Resources and the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research and Planning.
