The Council of University System Faculty (CUSF) advises the Chancellor and reports regularly to the Board of Regents. It is responsible for considering and making recommendations on matters of System wide professional and educational concern to the faculty and matters to which faculty bring special expertise.
The University of Maryland, College Park has six Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty delegates. Meetings take place approximately once per month and the location rotates among the University System of Maryland (USM) campuses. All USM campuses have representation on CUSF. Elections for the Senate-elected seats are typically conducted at the Annual Transition Meeting of the Senate in early May.
