PSYC 424 Creates "Breathe Easy" Video about UMD Smoking Policy
Following the submission of several smoking related proposals to the Senate Office and a recommendation from the Division of Administrative Affairs, the Senate voted in September 2011 to amend the University of Maryland, College Park's Smoking Policy and Guidelines, X-5.00(A) to extend the "no smoking" area from 15 to 25 feet away from any campus building. President Loh signed off on the amendment on September 26, 2011. In response to the policy change, a group of students from the Fall 2011 PSYC 424 (The Psychology of Communication and Persuasion) class put together a creative video to help educate the University community about the new guidelines - please watch and share!
