Forum on the Strategic Partnership

Campus-Wide Forum on the Strategic Partnership Between UMD and UMBC

The University Senate is hosting a campus-wide forum with President Loh regarding the proposed strategic partnership between the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

The forum will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Stamp Student Union. President Loh will provide a brief overview of the proposed partnership, listen to feedback, and respond to questions.

Because this is a Senate-sponsored event, the Senate’s rules of order will apply, and only Senators or current members of the campus community introduced by a Senator may speak. You can find a complete list of Senators here. We encourage you to ask a Senator to comment on your behalf or introduce you at the forum. Please note that all speakers will be limited to three minutes in order to allow for greater participation by all who wish to provide input.

Anyone from the campus community can also submit questions and comments in advance of the meeting by filling out a survey. The Senate leadership will review these questions to identify common themes that will be addressed at the forum. We ask that you submit your questions and comments by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
