Interim Sexual Misconduct Policy Town Halls

Interim Sexual Misconduct Policy Town Halls

The Senate Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI) Committee was recently charged with reviewing the Interim University of Maryland Sexual Misconduct Policy, which can be found in the list of Consolidated USM and UMD Policies and Procedures here. The committee will be hosting two upcoming Town Hall meetings in order to gather feedback from the campus community about the interim policy. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend the Town Hall meetings:

Monday, February 9, 2015
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Margaret Brent Room (2112)
Stamp Student Union

and

Tuesday, February 10, 2015
4:00pm - 6:00pm
Multi-Purpose Room (0130)
Nyumburu Cultural Center

After a brief introduction, we will welcome questions, suggestions, and comments about the Interim Sexual Misconduct Policy. Attendees are welcome to come and go at any point during both forums.

We look forward to your participation in these forums. For more information on the Senate's review of this policy, see Senate Bill 14-15-11.

Please note that the Town Halls are not intended to be used for purposes of reporting sexual harassment or sexual misconduct. Complaints of sexual misconduct should be reported to Catherine Carroll, Title IX Officer and Director of the Office of Civil Rights & Sexual Misconduct, at carrollc@umd.edu or 301-405-1142.
